Biggest highlight of career: The biggest highlight
of my career thus far was my fitness modeling assignment featured
in the December 2004 issue of Muscle & Fitness Magazine (Encyclopedia
Legs).
When did you realize you wanted to get into Bodybuilding/fitness?
Working out has always felt naturally to me. Even at a young age,
approximately 9 or 10 years old, I saw a picture of Lee Labrada in
Ironman Magazine and knew that I wanted to be in a “muscle mag”
one day. Doctors advised against weight training since I was so young,
so I did push-ups and pull-ups every night. Eventually, I got older,
hit the gym and saw results, but I was never satisfied. I have done
lot of self-study - reading journal articles, research and empirical
data, magazines, anything I can get my hands on. I am still always
learning. It’s a passion of mine, a calling that I’ve
always had even as a young boy.
Favorite exercise: Deadlifts
Favorite piece of cardio equipment: StairMill
Describe your training routine: I am always switching
up my routine, so I don’t necessarily have ONE that I always
follow. Currently, I’m following the diet and training protocol
as outlined in Lyle McDonald’s book Ultimate Diet 2 (UD2). This
should only be followed for 6-8 weeks.
Otherwise, here’s an example of one of my favorite split routines:
Day 1: Chest/Tri’s
Day 2: Legs
Day 3: Off
Day 4: Shoulders/Traps
Day 5: Back/Bi’s
Day 6: Chest/Tri’s
Day 7: Off
Day 8: Repeat cycle (beginning with Legs)
Days off are Wednesday and Sunday. It’s a 4-day split over
5 days so I just pick up the following Monday where I left off and
so on and so forth.
Best body part: Legs
What, if any, supplements do you take?
Creatine Vitamin C Whey Protein Isolate Glutamine
Multi-vitamin Vitamin E BCAA’s Essential Fatty Acids

Favorite junk food Chinese Buffet
Favorite music: Classic Rock

Favorite movie Good Will Hunting
Favorite actor/actress: Edward Burns
Last book read: No Mistakes Nutrition by Vince Andrich
and Rob Thoburn
Favorite magazine: Muscle & Fitness Magazine
Describe your personality: Laid back, personable, and
easy to talk to, yet driven, determined, and intense.
Favorite Quote: To be all that you can be, you have
to dream to be more.
Finish this sentence- Most people would be surprised
if they find out that……I’m a school psychologist.
People always say, “You don’t look like a psychologist.”
